How did you find out about the Women’s Foundation of Boston? I discovered the Women’s Foundation of Boston through their online presence and immediately started volunteering in 2020. I wanted to bring another dimension to my life of community involvement. As a woman in business, I feel strongly about gender equality in the workplace and providing women with the same opportunities available to men. What impressed you the most about WFBoston’s approach? The emphasis on identifying organizations with economically empowering missions that support women and girls and working with them to support, track and measure their success. Why did you choose to donate to the Women’s Foundation of Boston? Their mission aligns with a cause I am invested in. They are a 100% volunteer organization, so you know that donations go directly to women. What distinguishes it from other organizations is the fact that many of the volunteers have a business background. I was impressed by their pragmatic and practical decision making. They focus on tangible results, setting goals and a strategy to get to that goal. It is a very well run, professional organization that has a positive effect in the community. How has supporting the Women’s Foundation of Boston impacted your life? I wanted to get more involved in the community and have an impact; with the Women’s Foundation of Boston I was quickly and deeply involved in the community. I’ve been so impressed by the women I’ve met through this organization, and how talented and committed to the cause they are. DONOR SPOTLIGHT
