In Memory of Greg Bialecki
The Women’s Foundation of Boston is deeply saddened by the passing of Gregory Bialecki, a dedicated member of our Board of Directors. Greg joined the Foundation’s Advisory Council in 2021 and became a board member in 2022, serving as Co-Chair of the Governance and Nominating Committee. His passion for our mission was evident in every aspect of his involvement.
Greg’s leadership and optimistic lens were instrumental in advancing our mission, including our strategic expansion into Massachusetts Gateway Cities. His expertise in governance and commitment to empowering women and girls left an indelible mark on the Women’s Foundation of Boston. Thanks to his tremendous involvement, we’ve been able to reach many more women and girls through grants that fund transformative programs across Massachusetts.
Greg and his wife Mary first connected with the Women’s Foundation of Boston in 2020, driven by their desire to create a meaningful impact on local women and girls. Their unwavering support extended to their family, with Greg introducing us to his daughter-in-law, Liz Bialecki, who joined our board in 2024. Together, the Bialecki family spearheaded our year-end match challenge for multiple years, amplifying our funding of economically empowering programs for women and girls in our most under-resourced communities.
Greg’s legacy will continue to inspire us, and his presence will be deeply missed by everyone at the Women’s Foundation of Boston.
