Project Hope Boston is a multi-service agency that moves Boston families up and out of poverty by providing access to education, jobs, housing, and emergency services to women with children, fostering their personal transformation, and working for broader systems change.
In 2018-2019, the Women’s Foundation of Boston funded a career specialist for women in Project Hope Boston’s workforce and education development programs.
In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic created emergency technology needs, and WFBoston provided a COVID Response Fund grant to ensure that staff were properly equipped with technology and training to provide quality remote classes.
In 2021, WFBoston committed a three-year grant for a full-time Technology Specialist Instructor. This instructor trains Project Hope Boston participants in much needed technology skills which improves class retention rates in workforce development programs and facilitates participant employment growth and longevity.
