Individual Opportunities 

These opportunities are designed to be part-time and flexible. We accept both college students and those who work part-time or full-time to volunteer. As an entirely volunteer-led organization, we are very accommodating with time commitments and workloads. 

 

DEVELOPMENT 

 

2021 Annual Report Contributor – Assist in the creation of our 2021 Annual Report through data analysis and visualization (Note: this role will collaborate directly with the WFBoston leadership team.)

 

Grant Writer – Join our grant writing team in researching, writing, and submitting grants and proposals. This has the potential to be as large as you’d like – with a huge impact for our organization.

 

Researcher – Assist our research manager and help co-manage all aspects of our research, including our WSO/GSO Index and research collaborations with local universities and research organizations.

 

Salesforce Consultant – Assist with the utilization of Salesforce; strategize key funding targets.

 

 

OPERATIONS 

 

HR Consultant – Strategic and evaluate our future hiring needs. (immediate need)

 

DEI Consultant – Strategize and evaluate our DEI policies and procedures. (immediate need)

 

Administrative Assistant, CEO & COO – work directly with the leadership team on a variety of projects to move our mission forward. Assist with spreadsheets, emails, and volunteer management. (immediate need)

 

 

MARKETING 

 

LinkedIn Coordinator -Help manage our LinkedIn account.  Help create impactful and interesting posts.  (immediate need)

 

Marketing Interviewer -Help manage our long term study of women and girls.  Interview and video beneficiaries of our grants to assess impact.  (immediate need)

 

Auction Lead – Assist in auctioning items online for fundraising.  (immediate need)

 

Event Merchandise (“Swag”) Lead – Design, procure and order WFBoston swag for our upcoming signature event, Make Her Mark. (immediate need)

 

Make Her Mark Marketing Coordinator – Assist in the production of marketing assets for our Make Her Mark event; experience in graphic design is preferred. (immediate need)

 

Webinar Group Member – Help manage the very successful WFBoston Empowerment Webinar series – training from the current Webinar Manager included.  (immediate need)

 

 

PARTNERSHIPS & OUTREACH

 

Corporate Gift Match Coordinator – Research/introduce local corporate partnerships for gift matching programs.  Implement a corporate matching strategic plan completed by a consultant this summer. 

 

Diversity Outreach Coordinator – Research and evaluate methods to connect WFBoston to diverse groups, including younger women and women of color. 

 

Greater Boston Outreach Coordinator – Research potential partnerships with schools, companies, and community groups in Worcester, Lynn, Lawrence, and Lowell, as well as create virtual info sessions for these cities.

 

Board Hub Coordinator – Work directly with the leadership team to place women on boards of women and girls serving nonprofits. Coordinate marketing and administrative materials (experience in PowerPoint and Excel preferred). 

 

Info Session Manager – Investigate opportunities for WFBoston to host virtual information sessions (schools, universities, companies, sports teams, foundations, community organizations, etc.). Manage and track our information sessions for impact and follow up.

 

 

TECHNOLOGY 

 

Digital Marketing Video Manager – Create, edit and produce video from our inventory of excellent interviews.  Create important and exciting content for our website and social media.   (immediate need)

 

Blog Coordinator – Manage WFBoston’s blog (immediate need)

 

Fundraising Tech Coordinator – Assist with backend setup of the fundraiser for our signature event, Make Her Mark (immediate need)

 

Mailchimp Tech Coordinator – Assist with backend Mailchimp.  Help us fully utilize for marketing and communications.

 

Technology Consultant – Assist with creating our Technology Strategic Plan and implementation. (immediate need)

 

 

PROPRIETARY PROGRAMS 

 

Junior Board Manager – Help build and manage the WFBoston Junior Board (immediate need)

 

Young Women’s Leadership Program (YWLP) Lead – Take on the role of one of the following: Committee Chair, Community Chair, Experiential Learning Chair, Professional Development Chair, Marketing and Communications Chair; commit at least 18 months to the program  (immediate need)

 

 

Group Opportunities 

These opportunities are designed for local corporate, college, and community groups in mind. Opportunities could be for one day, monthly or quarterly as it fits with employee schedules

  • Create a marketing video highlighting WFBoston’s work including interviewing the CEO, COO, Grant Manager and CFO – could be on site at WFBoston office.
  • Develop opportunities for WFBoston to have virtual info sessions (suburbs, schools, universities, companies, sports teams, foundations, clubs).
  • Evaluate how to market/connect WFBoston to women of color. 
  • Create virtual info sessions in your company’s area including Framingham, Worcester, Lynn, Lawrence and Lowell.
  • Create WFBoston’s 2021 marketing brochure. 
  •  Write and submit a foundation grant.   Impact would be huge – we are missing out on opportunities for grant funding.
  • Help with data analysis and input; experience with Salesforce and pivot tables helpful.
  • Refine our technology strategic plan including recommendations and implementation proposals.  Help evaluate technology we need to increase efficiency.
  • Create and plan an interactive, fun bi-annual donor thank you event for our 125 volunteers.
  • Host a webinar on the day of the volunteer day highlighting careers for women in healthcare and technology or other topics that would be empowering to women and girls.  
  • Evaluate and revamp our marketing presentation deck for corporate information sessions.
  • Evaluate and revamp our Corporate Sponsorship deck.
  • Create video content highlighting our impact and work with women and girls serving nonprofits.
  • Create video content interviewing our summer interns, volunteers and staff.
  • Help us “remodel” our office to better reflect our mission.  
  • Host a “friendraiser” at your home, office or WFBoston’s office.  Invite your colleagues, friends and family to learn more about our mission.
